As an experienced maths teacher, and ex-head of maths, I can offer a wealth of experience and knowledge. I am an examiner for the main exam boards, and can provide coaching on exam technique and revision strategies as well as content.  I provide maths tuition across KS2, KS3, GCSE and IGCSE.

I pride myself in my ability to foster excellent working relationships with my students, putting them at ease and helping them build confidence in maths.

I now tutor full time working with students of all abilities, and provide a complete maths programme of study for home-educated students.

I am a passionate Science tutor with a Masters degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in Physical Chemistry, as well as a full teaching qualification. I have several years experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Science as well as Chemistry A Level. Tutoring allows me to share my passion for Science in individually tailored lessons carefully planned to fit the needs of the student. In my sessions I focus on actively engaging my students, putting emphasis on boosting their confidence and finding joy in learning Science. Developing exam technique and independent learning skills is a vital part of building that confidence needed to achieve excellent exam grades.

Every pupil has a unique learning journey. I have worked in education for five years. From my experience, one thing I know for sure is that every pupil has a spark that, once ignited, will light their path to the enjoyment of reading, and give confidence in expressing their thoughts and opinions both verbally and through the written word. My objective is to focus on supporting pupils in achieving academic success, but also to exhibit to pupils how English can be utilised outside of the classroom and beyond.

I am a secondary school science teacher currently teaching all 3 sciences up to GCSE level. I can offer sessions on all topics up to GCSE level along with exam technique and preparation sessions. I am a Biology specialist and offer Biology to A Level.

I am an experienced Head of Science and Physics with over 15 years in the classroom. I am also an examiner for Edexcel.  Quite simply, I love what I do.  I am a dedicated and engaging teacher who is committed to inspiring students to achieve their very best through meeting their individual needs within a trusting, supportive and nurturing environment.  I excel in supporting students by breaking topics down into key concepts and explaining them in a clear way which instils confidence within my students allowing them to move forward with their understanding.  I offer Physics tuition for students from KS3 up to and including A-Level.

I have been a maths teacher for almost 30 years and so have extensive experience at maths GCSE, A Level maths and A Level further maths. I have also marked for both AQA and Edexcel at all levels, so have a comprehensive understanding of which topics students find difficult, common errors and what is good exam technique. As well as a love of Maths, I have a positive and friendly approach.

With many years experience teaching English language and literature, as well as being an AQA examiner, I have very detailed understanding of the methods needed to excel in these subjects. I try to make all practice and revision materials relevant to young people to encourage their engagement and love of language.

I am a qualified teacher of Maths with 5 years of experience in teaching and private tuition for students in KS3, GCSE and A-Level. I also have worked for exam boards to mark GCSE papers and can offer advice on exam technique as well as securing your subject knowledge.

I am a qualified history and politics teacher. I tutor history, politics, economics and sociology at A level. I have experience of teaching GCSE humanities (GCSE History, Politics, Law, Geography) and at KS3; as well as 11+ and entrance exams to the independent sector. I can provide lessons which are interesting and engaging, and endeavour to stretch and challenge pupils academically.

I have experience in preparing children for year 2 and 6 SATs and I am trained in RWI phonics. I have 3 years of private tutoring experience where I have engaged and supported students to develop their maths skills. I am a qualified maths teacher and use my in-school experience to help students reach their full potential, prepare for exams, and meet the needs of the school curriculum.

I have a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Leeds.

I am now a full time tutor, helping students overcome barriers and reach their potential by providing
bespoke sessions tailored to the students individual needs.

In twenty years as a qualified teacher and private tutor I’ve helped hundreds of students to reach their potential in Mathematics, from 11+ and Common Entrance exams, through GCSE to A Level and STEP.

I am an experienced Science teacher with 15 years experience covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics from KS2 to A-Level.  Throughout my teaching career I have marked exam papers for various exam boards and offered private tuition. I always aim to reduce the stress that can hinder a learner’s progress with a friendly approach.

I have been teaching for 35 years, mostly Key Stage 3 and 4 English (although I have also taught A’ level Language and Literature). I love teaching children of all ages and abilities but am most successful with students who have previously not enjoyed English or who think they don’t have much ability. I am very patient and creative and I love the challenge of making English accessible and fun to people who lack confidence. 

I facilitate engaging, creative learning with clear progression, including learning checkpoints and consistent feedback. I create individualised learning plans with the help of a free taster session. I offer a safe space in which to try out a wide range of learning strategies.
