As an experienced maths teacher, and ex-head of maths, I can offer a wealth of experience and knowledge. I am an examiner for the main exam boards, and can provide coaching on exam technique and revision strategies as well as content.  I provide maths tuition across KS2, KS3, GCSE and IGCSE.

I pride myself in my ability to foster excellent working relationships with my students, putting them at ease and helping them build confidence in maths.

I now tutor full time working with students of all abilities, and provide a complete maths programme of study for home-educated students.

I am a passionate Science tutor with a Masters degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in Physical Chemistry, as well as a full teaching qualification. I have several years experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Science as well as Chemistry A Level. Tutoring allows me to share my passion for Science in individually tailored lessons carefully planned to fit the needs of the student. In my sessions I focus on actively engaging my students, putting emphasis on boosting their confidence and finding joy in learning Science. Developing exam technique and independent learning skills is a vital part of building that confidence needed to achieve excellent exam grades.

I am a secondary school science teacher currently teaching all 3 sciences up to GCSE level. I can offer sessions on all topics up to GCSE level along with exam technique and preparation sessions. I am a Biology specialist and offer Biology to A Level.

With many years experience teaching English language and literature, as well as being an AQA examiner, I have very detailed understanding of the methods needed to excel in these subjects. I try to make all practice and revision materials relevant to young people to encourage their engagement and love of language.

Every pupil has a unique learning journey. I have worked in education for five years. From my experience, one thing I know for sure is that every pupil has a spark that, once ignited, will light their path to the enjoyment of reading, and give confidence in expressing their thoughts and opinions both verbally and through the written word. My objective is to focus on supporting pupils in achieving academic success, but also to exhibit to pupils how English can be utilised outside of the classroom and beyond.

As a qualified maths teacher, my strong passion for teaching has allowed me to actively engage students in maths and as a result progress further. I have 5 years experience of private tutoring and, in that time, have supported many students at various levels to achieve their potential.

I am an experienced and qualified Secondary teacher of English Language and Literature with 15 years of experience in the classroom, working with students from 11-18. I bring a passion for my subject, an individualised approach and a clear understanding of the curriculum and what is required at each key stage. I am also an examiner, marking English Literature GCSE, which has given me an insight into how students achieve across the grade boundaries. I am friendly, approachable and will always try to help each student to reach their full potential.

I am a qualified history and politics teacher. I tutor history, politics, economics and sociology at A level. I have experience of teaching GCSE humanities (GCSE History, Politics, Law, Geography) and at KS3; as well as 11+ and entrance exams to the independent sector. I can provide lessons which are interesting and engaging, and endeavour to stretch and challenge pupils academically.

I have been a maths teacher for almost 30 years and so have extensive experience at maths GCSE, A Level maths and A Level further maths. I have also marked for both AQA and Edexcel at all levels, so have a comprehensive understanding of which topics students find difficult, common errors and what is good exam technique. As well as a love of Maths, I have a positive and friendly approach.

A qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching all subjects across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key stage 2. I have experience in preparing children for year 2 and 6 SATs and I am trained in RWI phonics. I aim to make learning an enjoyable experience and ensure each lesson suits the child’s individual needs and interests.

I am passionate about working with children and have 14 years teaching experience across the primary phase. Most recently, I have worked in Upper KS2 and am currently in my 4th consecutive year teaching year 6. I love helping young people feel more confident in maths and English.
